Mount St Mary's College is an 11 to 18 years, co-educational, boarding and day school founded by the Society of Jesus in 1842 and situated in beautiful countryside. Mount St Mary's College was founded in 1842 by Fr Randall Lythgoe, the Provincial Superior of the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic religious order more often known as the Jesuits. While Mount St Mary's is a Catholic school, they welcome and cater for the needs of students from other traditions in a truly ecumenical environment.
