Barlborough Country Park
Barlborough Country Park is 7.6 hectares of land situated between Clowne Road, Oxcroft Way and Slayley View Road. The land is owned by Sir Sacheverell Reresby Sitwell and is now leased by Barlborough Parish Council for a peppercorn rent of £1 per year (for 99 years). The land was set aside for the benefit of the community. Funding is in place from the New Opportunities Fund and Waystones Limited, to provide a children's playground, changing facility and football pitches. Barlborough Parish Council has set up a community group to seek additional funding oversee the further development of this project. |
