Re: North East Derbyshire Local Plan: Issues & Options Consultation (Regulation 18 of The Town & Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations, 2012)
The Council is preparing a new Local Plan to set out how the district will develop over the next 20 years. The Local Plan is a key planning document that is used to shape, plan and manage future growth and development across the district. Issues & Options marks one of the first steps in preparing the new Plan. We are inviting your views on whether we have identified the right issues and options and if there is anything that we have missed that you think the Local Plan should contain.
The Issues and Options Document and supporting information is published for an 8 week period of consultation between:
Thursday 19th June 2025 and Thursday 14th August 2025
There are a number of ways you can get involved:
• Come along to one of our consultation drop-in events taking place across the district (see timetable on the website below)
• View the consultation material and provide comments online: Consultation on New Local Plan – North East Derbyshire District Council
• View printed consultation material at the Council Office and libraries throughout the district during usual opening hours.
We are encouraging comments to be made online using our consultation portal wherever possible. If you cannot provide comments on line please contact the Local Plan Team to request a response form: on 01246 231111 or email local.plan@ne-derbyshire.gov.uk
However, you choose to get involved, please provide your comments by the closing date of 14th August 2025.
